My favorite YouTube video channels

I have always loved videos on STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, mathematics), even before the web became popular. Since the year 2010, there is a growing number of content creators who publish high quality content on YouTube for free.

Below is a list of channels that I discovered, watched, and admire. Most of them are educational in nature, explaining how things work, and essentially all are non-fiction. I added category tags to summarize the main subject areas that a channel covers.
